Monsters University is interesting. The higher education establishing is put to excellent use, stuffed with plenty of acquainted types from a goth-like character talked, of course, by Aubrey Plaza, to the oh-so relaxed Art (Charlie Day) NFL 17 Coins. Director Dan Scanlon and his collaborators clearly had a lot of affection for conventional higher education comedies and theres a lot of purposely acquainted archetypes at perform here, such as the uber-douchey, uber-confident innovator of the dominating frat, Roar Omega Roar (ROR), Johnny (Nathan Fillion).
He even comes finish with his collar up, in one of many nods to 1980's higher education movies in MU. Theres more than a few riffs on Revenge of the Nerds-- Johnny and Stan Gable would have gotten along famously -- developing Bob Goodmans presence extra-amusing. Goodman and Crystal keep a superb team; even when that team is in an embryonic and hostile position.
